Eurotypo is an independent type foundry established in 2004. Originally founded in Santa Severa, Italy by Olcar Alcaide and Alberto Di Santo, the foundry moved its headquarters to Valencia, Spain, where Carine de Wandeleer joined the team as Director.
We specialize in the design and production of high-quality typefaces. Our fonts are carefully handcrafted, with every formal and technical aspect controlled in great detail—from readability, legibility, and expressiveness to advanced OpenType features, precise kerning, and hinting. All typefaces, including modern digital designs, are rooted in distinct lettering styles. The connection between painted, carved, or engraved scripts and printed type is particularly evident in the evolution of the Latin alphabet, shaped by the contributions of scribes, calligraphers, and designers.
The techniques of ancient scribes serve as a primary source of knowledge and inspiration for contemporary type design. Through observation and experimentation, our courses bridge the great works of the past with new forms of design and digital technology.
