Inspired by Italian History
Alfina is a chancery-style typeface with a contemporary spirit, inspired by the enchanting Italian town of Torre Alfina—one of the most beautiful medieval villages in the country, perched on the edge of the Alfina plateau just a few kilometers from Orvieto. The castle’s surroundings are steeped in history, with roots reaching back to the Lombard kingdom of the 7th century.
A Contemporary Chancery Style
Alfina features smooth, flowing lines, ultra-slender capitals, and delicately layered fine strokes. Its stylistic alternates play a central role in its personality, and a rich array of OpenType features adds depth, versatility, and distinctive charm to the typeface.
